Könnte die Violine ihr Geld wert sein?
Ist Volpelière bekannt?
Welcher Geigenbauer ist in Brandenburg Berlin zu empfehlen?
Ich bedanke mich!!!
Fine antique french master violin made circa 1780.
Nice violin of the french 18th century school, probably made circa 1780 in Paris or Mirecourt. The violin was made after Stradivari and the workmanship is of the highest level, with a gorgeous choice of woods (the top made of spruce of a very regular and narrow grain, the back made of one piece of beautiful maple of irregular curl). The ribs, neck and head are of the same woods, and the violin is in our opinion original in all parts. The f holes are very nicely carved, the purfling is regular, and the head is a pure 18th century beauty, masterly executed. The varnish is of a delicate yellow-brown colour.
The violin is in a very good condition, with an artistically restored soundpost crack on front, a few other repairs, and the name of an early owner "Volpelière" which has been faintly engraved on varnish under the neck button. Otherwise the violin is in a beautiful and immediate playing condition.
The violin has a very nice 18th century french voice, soft and subtile, very sensitive, not extremely powerful but resonating and easy to play, highly suitable for a chamber music repertory. A beautiful instrument proposed for an attractive price!
The violin comes with a certificate from our workshop, including a 5000€ valuation.
